This is a place to jot down your thoughts and ideas on this new venture. Come here often - everytime you think of something that we have to make part of this plan. Each one of us has a special area of expertise to make this thing happen, but you need to know all facets of the program and this blog may be how to do just that. So far there are 3 of us for sure and probably 4 as I'm not sure of Steve D's friend. I guess that I will play the tool biz meister. Steve G will be the software meister, Steve D will be the meister's meister etc etc. Get the idea? Maybe each of us should reflect on what we are bringing to the party and by writing it down we all will be clearer on what is happening and what we need to happen. Personally I will start off by writing down who I am and what I can bring to this Portal party. Rick Lowney (60) living in Fla has 35 years experience in all facets of the tool biz. As an independent Mfr Rep I have been able to see the good points and bad points of the business from all sides. I have always been innovative and appreciate technology. I am living proof that you can really like something (like computers and the internet) but not have any particular talent for it. I can recognize that the time is here for this business to morph into something that works better and faster. The internet is the name of the game today and the tool biz needs to be adapted to this superior form of technology. I'd like to make some money along the way as all of you would. I feel that I can recognize a real opportunity which is this new venture. Someone will make this system a success and I am mystified why someone hasn't done it already.
